My name is Julie Mattson. I grew up with a fishing rod in my hand, and have been fly fishing and tying flies for over 25 years. I enjoy all types of fishing, but my passion is fly fishing and guiding. There is nothing more rewarding than to be a part of someone catching their first fish in Alaska. While I like fly fishing best, spin casting has pleasures all its own. My goal is to get you catching fish. Whether your dream is a certain type of trout or a particular species of salmon I want to put you in a stream where that dream may well come true. We custom build your Southeast Alaska fishing experience. If you want to learn to fly fish this is the time. If you want to explore spin casting, this is the time for that, too. We always take both spin and fly rods so that you can choose. I grew up in Montana were there are many places to fish, but I find that there is nothing like fishing these Southeast Alaskan waters. When you choose to fly out to a remote lake or stream you have a good chance to step on land where no one else has.
